Charles Harris is coming back to Detroit in 2022 to defend his team sack crown. The Lions and Harris have agreed to a new two-year contract worth up to $14 million, per NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport, though those terms are not official.
Harris led the Lions in sacks in 2021 with 7.5 in his first season in Detroit. The former first-round disappointment for the Dolphins (and Falcons) found new life under head coach Dan Campbell, more than doubling his previous four-season totals in both sacks and tackles. His speed and length do translate well to the new base 4-man front, too.
The 27-year-old was an unrestricted free agent.
