Speaking about the event being in Doncaster this year, Phil Green, Miss England office and Miss Yorkshire organiser said: "The Miss England office is thrilled to be staging the Miss Yorkshire Final in Doncaster for the first time. As Doncaster received city status a few months ago, it seems very fitting for them to host the event.
"We are extremely proud and thankful to the Earl of Doncaster Hotel for providing their hotel and ballroom facilities for staging the contest. Not only will the new Miss Yorkshire be crowned on Saturday, the event will also include the contest for the Miss Lincolnshire title. Both winners will qualify for the Miss England Final in October, which leads to Miss World."
