The Lathums, Fontaines DC, Villagers: The best gigs taking place in Bristol in October

Summer is now a distant memory but it's not all doom and gloom as we head deeper into autumn.

There are plenty of things to like about the season, including the sound of leaves crunching under foot and tucking into a roast dinner at one of Bristol's cosiest pubs.

Not only that but autumn is also a great time for gigs with another festival season done and dusted - especially this year as venues will be keen to host as many events as possible to recoup losses incurred by the devastating coronavirus pandemic.

As we all know, there are dozens of fantastic music venues across Bristol and they've all got some brilliant shows lined up in October, so we've rounded up the pick of the bunch - many of which you can still buy tickets for.

By going to one of the gigs listed below, you'll be supporting a venue at a time of desperate need as well as seeing some first-class live music.

There is now of course no limit on audience numbers for concerts, however you might be required to show proof of a negative test or Covid pass at some places, so it's worth checking the website of the respective venue before you attend.

One venue in Bristol has also urged gig-goers to continue wearing masks, despite the fact they are not legally required to.

Below are 13 gigs taking place in Bristol between now and the end of October covering a wide range of genres. How many have you got tickets to?
