Technology moves fast, and with a laptop just a few years old, it can be easy to get left behind. The recent surge in popularity of AI has only made that more true. Running AI on a laptop is no easy task, and many machines simply don’t have the right tools for the job. This leaves the bounty of powerful and helpful features AI provides unavailable to a great many users. And if you’re looking to stay ahead of the curve and enjoy boosted productivity, the right machine can make all the difference.

Microsoft’s newest Surface Laptop and Surface Pro just hit the market to offer machines ready for the latest demands in computing, and it’s all packed into regal hardware ready for a life on the move.

The Surface Laptop does it all

Even coming from just two generations prior, the latest Surface Laptop provides up to 86% faster performance. And speed is just the start of what the Surface Laptop 7th Edition provides. Microsoft has trimmed down the machine, so you can get an even more portable device than prior models. In spite of this, you can get an even bigger screen thanks to reduced bezels, with the smaller model packing a 13.8-inch display and the larger one offering a 15-inch display. Both displays are suited to creativity and entertainment alike, with sharp HDR touchscreen displays.

Thanks to the efficient processing inside, the Surface Laptop is ready to keep up with your work all day. It offers lengthy battery life with up to 20 hours of video playback. So you can bounce between activities for hours on end without having to worry about whether you’ll find a power socket to plug into. Creative freedom can’t be bound to a wall, after all.

The Surface Pro flexes to meet the occasion

When your needs require a little flexibility, the new Surface Pro is ready to meet you. This 2-in-1 can operate both as a laptop or as a tablet. Its keyboard (sold separately)  is detachable, so you can leave it behind and enjoy an exceptionally lightweight device for creative work on the go. A built-in kickstand ensures you’ve always got an easy way to prop up the Surface Pro and set it at whatever angle suits you.  With the Surface Pro, you can go from a multi-monitor desktop setup to a simple tablet on-the-go and everything in between.

Like the Surface Laptop, the Surface Pro comes with a gorgeous display and the battery life to let you enjoy it all day. The 13-inch screen packs in a 3K resolution for exceptionally sharp visuals. And the touchscreen offers convenient control in laptop and tablet modes. That’s just the start, though. The Surface Pro has an optional OLED display to take visuals to another level still, providing a rich 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio that will make media and your own digital creations dazzle. Whatever screen you choose, you’ll get support for Microsoft’s Surface Pen, giving you next-level input for the nuance creators require.

Snapdragon supercharging Copilot+ PCs

Under the hood, both the new Surface Laptop and Surface Pro are powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite and X Plus processors. These are powerhouses designed to deliver exceptional speed with stunning efficiency, so your laptop can feel fast and last all day.

These processors also pack a secret weapon: Hexagon NPUs (Neural Processing Unit). The NPU is the heart of their AI superpowers. It’s specifically designed to accelerate AI tasks, letting the Surface Pro and Surface Laptop quickly process AI workloads on this dedicated element quickly and efficiently. This is key to the Windows Copilot+ PC experience, as this suite of AI tools needs to be nearly instantaneous in its responses and run efficiently enough to allow laptops to continue running all day.

With Qualcomm’s Hexagon NPU onboard, the new Surface Pro and Surface Laptop enjoy a host of AI-powered features through Copilot+ PCs.

You can tag-team with a creative partner using Cocreator, which lets you share your creative visions and tasks the onboard AI with generating images of what you’ve imagined. This provides a quick way to iterate and go from the drawing board to the final product.

Your work life can also enjoy a host of enhancements. With Windows Studio Effects, you won’t have to fuss with your webcam setup just to have a good video call anymore, as Windows Studio Effects can use AI to optimize your video, improving lighting, keeping your eyes on the camera, and even blurring or swapping out distracting backgrounds. With Live Captions, you can also get real-time captions applied to videos and video calls, including translations from over 40 languages.

All of these enhancements are coming to the Surface Laptop and Surface Pro, making these two devices promising partners for work, creativity, and entertainment wherever you go. You can find both machines available at Currys along with promotions to help you accessorize your new machine.
