Margaret Pearce
Died, suddenly at home aged 85. Margaret (formerly Frost), of Rhiwbina, Cardiff, formerly of Stapleford, Cambridge, was predeceased by her husbands Robin Frost and Jack Pearce, also by her eldest daughter Victoria Hughes. Margaret was born in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent. In her teens her family moved to Shropshire, where Margaret attended the Priory School for Girls in Shrewsbury. After graduating from Whiteland's College in London, Margaret and Robin moved to Cambridge, where Margaret taught Biology at Sawston Village College and rose to the post of Deputy Headmistress. She remained at the school until her retirement. Margaret was very active in the community, participating in guiding and local amateur dramatics. After her retirement she was able to indulge her love of travel. She met her second husband while on vacation in Sicily, and they married in 1999, when Margaret relocated to Cardiff. She and Jack explored the world on many happy vacations, and they particularly enjoyed cruising. She is survived by her daughter Emma, granddaughter Lucy Hughes, brother Richard Williams, and several nieces and nephews. Margaret was very loved and will be missed dearly by family and friends.
