Renato Giovanni Francesco Bacchetta
Passed peacefully on Sunday 19th March, with his family around him in Longbridge Deverill, Wiltshire. Loving father of Renata, Carla and Adrio, a dear father-in-law, a wonderful grandfather to seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Ron was born on the February 17th, 1932 in Abercynon to Serafino and Dorinda Bacchetta. Husband to Yvonne, brother to Aldo, Mario and Sandra. Ron was a proud and active member of the Welsh-Italian community, working with his family at Bacchetta's café and delicatessen in Station Street, Porth and one time Chairman of the District Chamber of Trade. He loved sport, playing rugby for Tylorstown RFC in his youth and then enjoyed golf into his eighties, playing near his home in Talbot Green. He brought love and laughter to many. He will be missed greatly, and his time will be celebrated as a life well-lived. Funeral Monday April 24th Requiem Mass at All Hallows RC Church, Miskin at 12.45pm, followed by interment at Cefn-y-Parc Cemetery. Peacefully passed away at home in St Brides Super Ely on 27th March 2023. Much loved husband of Kathryn, loving father to Emily and Abigail. Resting at the Private Funeral Home of W. Peacefully on 26th March at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, Fred, aged 86 years, formerly of St. Mary Hill. A loving Father and Grandfather. Funeral Friday 14th April. Morgan Leigh
Of Glenfields Caerphilly. Morgan passed away at home aged 84 years. He was an amazing Husband to Peggy, and friend and Dad to Andrew. He gave his life for his Church at St Cenydd Road Presbyterian Church, Trecenydd, doing youth work and 40 years as an Elder. Morgan was nicknamed 'The Vicar' of Trecco Bay for his loving kindness to Caravanners. He will be sadly missed by so many. Service at St Cenydd Road Presbyterian Church CF83 2TE on Wednesday 12th April. 11.15am followed by Interment at Bethel Baptist Church, Bassaleg, NP10 8HZ. Family flowers only please. Catherine Powell (née Thomas)
(née Thomas) Peacefully on 25th March 2023 at Oaklands Residential Home, Bridgend Catherine (Aunty Cas), aged 104 years, formerly of Penprysg, Pencoed. Dearly beloved wife of the late Jim, a dear sister of all her brothers and sisters, and a loving aunt of all her nieces and nephews. Aunty Cas will be sadly missed by all her family and friends. Peacefully, passed away on Thursday, 23rd March 2023. John of Cymmer, Porth. Devoted and beloved husband of Ann, who will be dearly missed, and never forgotten by all of his family and friends.
