Hey, Washington Commanders fans: Here’s an early Christmas gift! How about a scenario in which you get a Heisman Trophy-winning QB in the 2024 NFL Draft?
The latest NFL mock draft from our Christian D’Andrea had the Commanders taking an edge rusher with the No. 13 pick … but Washington has been pretty bad since then, so according to the latest NFL Draft order, the franchise could end up with a top-four pick.
That brings us to Sports Illustrated’s latest mock from Luke Easterling, who had this to say about the idea of the Commanders taking LSU’s Jayden Daniels with the fourth overall choice:
This isn’t Sam Howell’s fault. Let’s get that straight right off the bat. The offensive line had him running for his life all year long, and he’s still managed to put up some promising numbers and make some big plays. But if there’s a new coaching staff in place, it won’t be shocking if they want to start over at quarterback, and Daniels’ progression in 2023 proved he’s worthy of a top-five pick.
There you have it. Make sure to check out Christian D’Andrea’s latest NFL mock draft!
