The sheer mention of Cyriel Dessers' name often splits Rangers supporters.
The 30-year-old striker has scored 35 times since arriving at Ibrox from Cremonese in June 2023, with 13 of those coming this season.
He's fallen down the Rangers pecking order over recent months though, particularly since the emergence of young Moroccan forward Hamza Igamane.
Dessers was only on the pitch for a minute against Aberdeen on Wednesday yet he managed to get on the scoresheet, sealing a 3-0 victory for the Light Blues and reducing Celtic's Scottish Premiership lead to 13 points.
And the way the Nigerian internationalist took his goal impressed former Rangers talisman Kris Boyd, who reckons Dessers' first strike since a brace versus Kilmarnock on December 4 will do his confidence the world of good amid transfer links away from the club.
Analysing the striker's cameo, Boyd told Sky Sports: "He's in front of goal and you think 'just put it in the net'. He seems to take a touch or blast it over the bar, but he was in full control of that one there.
"It's good for Rangers and it's good for Dessers that he's coming on. He's obviously been linked with moves away in January but that will do his confidence the world of good because Igamane has been starting, he's contributing to games and he's scoring goals.

"Danilo has jumped ahead of Dessers now. So, for him to come on with Danilo going off injured and get a goal, finish it really well. He will be pleased."
Asked by Celtic legend Chris Sutton if he would personally cash in on Dessers, Boyd replied: "When you look at Cyriel Dessers, he's went from being the first choice to now third.
"There's no getting away from it if you are a striker and you've been scoring goals, he's still Rangers top goalscorer I think, but you find yourself third choice, he might have jumped up into second but I think Igamane is ahead of him now.
"He's at an age where he wants to be playing football, we all know Rangers will want to get money in to maybe strengthen in other positions. But you can't leave yourself short on striker's though.
"I don't know, it's a conundrum that one because he doesn't seem to be one with a bad attitude. Sometimes if you've been a first team regular and then you find yourself out the team, you can spit the dummy out. He seems to train properly every day, he's came on and got himself a goal.
"But I don't know, Chris. If there's a decent offer that comes in."
