The Internet Reckons MAFS UK Is Officially Worse Than Australia After One Explicit Comment

Married At First Sight Australia is a pretty divisive show. Depending on who you speak to, the reality series is either loved and binged by many, or an absolute disgrace to society. Usually, the Australian iteration of the series is thought of to be the worst one too. However, thanks to one raunchy line on MAFS UK going viral on TikTok, some people have claimed the latest British series is worse than the Aussie one.

Through wine-spilling arguments, sexual scenes and dirty revenge tactics (does anyone remember the toothbrush in the toilet fiasco?), Australian MAFS has long been referred to as the most titillating, scandalous version of the hit reality show. However, after a raunchy comment on the reunion episode of the latest UK series, it seems that we have lost our dirty dawg crown.

It all came out when former couple Amy and Luke were reflecting on what went wrong in their relationship. Amy told the relationship experts that Luke had sent her a letter after the final vows. She said the letter detailed how much he missed her and referred to her as his wife. However, she claimed Luke ended the note with a dirty little comment.

“No regrets. Actually, just one — I wish I had got down on my knees when you were cooking in the kitchen and terrorised your bumhole,” he wrote.

Excuse me, I am screaming. There are so many different ways that could have gone and I’m just sooOoOO surprised he put “terrorised” and “butthole” in the same sentence.

Although the relationship experts — including our very own Mel Shilling — looked pretty damn shocked by Luke’s one regret, expert Charlene Douglas did admit that it’s normal for couples to have their own “code of conversation”. The experts proceeded to question (in a very serious voice) whether this was appropriate flirty language between the former couple.

The real kicker though was when Luke argued that he had, indeed, shown Amy what he meant by terrorising her butthole when they were married. However, Amy refutes this claim.

“You’ve not done that to me! He’s never done anything like that to me,” Amy told the group.

“Not to your bum hole,” Luke quipped back.

Well slap me silly and call me Patrice — I am in tears writing this.

Although it is hard not to laugh at the bizarre scenario, many people around the world have not found this interaction funny and argue that this scene should never have made it to TV.

Even former MAFS Australia bride Eden Harper told Yahoo! Lifestyle that she felt the comment was “completely inappropriate”.

“I guess some couples have some weird fetishes but imagine writing that after they broke up thinking it would win her back,” she said. “If you ever get a messed up letter on MAFS, that’s your sign to leave.”

Others praised the experts for the way they handled the situation with a straight face while they deciphered if “terrorising” was meant to be a good thing.

Either way, shout out to MAFS UK for taking the bonkers crown of MAFS AU.
