The Idol has cringed fans out yet again with another graphic sex scene.
The HBO TV show has been slammed by fans for showing Lily Rose-Depp and The Weeknd's characters, Jocelyn and Tedros, engaging in "rather loud" sex in a Valentino dressing room.
In the third episode, titled Daybreak, of the weekly series, Tedros inserts himself into Jocelyn's life by offering input on her wardrobe and collaborators as she becomes even more emotionally tethered to him.
Jocelyn and the creepy club owner start having sex in a dressing room, but the pop star walks out on him in the middle of the act, leaving Tedros to finish the deed himself.
Fans took to Twitter to share their anger over the "unnecessary" scene and the excessive sex depictions in the episode overall.
"The sex scenes in ep 3 of the idol were very unnecessary," one wrote. "Like there was no build up it was random sex in a way like 'why did that need to be added there' the scene where he singing in Jocelyn's ear. Could’ve replace that random a*s sex scene… IDK what that was for."
"This might be my last time hate watching #THEIDOL bc why has there been 3 sex scenes in the first 15 min????" a second typed.
A third added: "Sigh. The idol would be so good without the cringey tedros lines and the unnecessary sex scenes."
The graphic scene caught many already skeptical viewers off-guard as they took to social media to voice their opinions on the shocking sex scene.
Other fans fantasised about their ideal ending for the show which sees The Weeknd's character meeting a deadly demise.
"This show better end with Jocelyn killing Tedros," one Reddit user wrote.
A second chimed in: "I was literally thinking after Tedros slapped Andreas that the only way this show can be redeemed is if Jocelyn ends up killing him. He’s trying to take over her whole life, it might be the only way she can save herself."
