The Hype House NDAs Are Up & TikToker Alex Warren Is Finally Calling Everyone Out In A New Song

After years of keeping quiet, social media star Alex Warren is finally calling out the infamous Hype House, where he once lived with fellow creators. In a recent TikTok teaser of his unreleased song, Alex hints at some serious beef, and let’s just say, it’s not exactly a love letter to his former housemates.

Let’s dive into the drama.

Is Alex Warren’s new song about the Hype House?

On August 31, Alex posted a TikTok that had fans’ jaws on the floor featuring a snippet of his upcoming song, saying “I wrote this song about that content house…”

The unreleased song features the lyrics, “You knew the house was burning down, I had to get out”. Subtle, right?

He continues with, “You lead your saints and sinners and fed them lies for dinner,” which fans think refers to the other scorned Hype House members.

He sings, “Used to tell me you’d pray for me, you were praying for my downfall.” Fans have speculated that the “you” Alex is referring to is the creator of the Hype house Thomas Petrou.

My guess is probably not. (Image: NicoleMegan/TikTok)

It seems like Alex is ready to expose what really went down in the infamous content house and will not be holding back. As one fan put it, “The NDA expired, I can’t waittt”. Same girl same.

What is the Hype House?

For those who were living under a rock (or, you know, touching grass) during the pandemic days, the Hype House was once the crème de la crème of TikTok collectives.

Founded in December 2019 by a group of fresh-faced creators including Thomas Petrou, Daisy Keech and Chase Hudson (aka Lil Huddy), it was the place to be for aspiring influencers.

The Hype House wasn’t just a metaphorical content hub; it was a literal Spanish-style mansion perched atop a hill in Los Angeles.

Most notable members of the crew included, Addison Rae, the D’Amelio sisters, Larray, and the Lopez brothers. Most of them lived together in the house creating content on the daily and drinking a lot of Bang energy drinks (one of the OG sponsors of the house).

The house even got their own Netflix reality TV show, Hype House, which documented the inner workings and drama between a bunch of influencers living under one roof. Honestly, it was very entertaining seeing major influencers Nikita Dragun and Vinnie Hacker freak out over having to do TikTok dances to stay in the house, but sadly the show lasted for one season.

Why does Alex Warren have beef with the Hype House?

Although the content house started with 20 members that all seemed to get along, according to their choreographed dance TikToks and lip-sync videos, the turnover rate in the team was massive.

Daisy Keech, one of the founding members, was the first to leave in 2020 and later filed a lawsuit against Thomas and Chase over ownership of the brand. This kicked off a domino effect that saw more influencers leave the house every few months, to the point that now the only original members are Thomas and his girlfriend Mia Hayward.

Alex and his now-wife Kouvr Annon stayed in the Hype House till 2022 when they announced they were leaving because they wanted to “move on to the next chapter in their lives” but were “still friends with everyone there”.

But things didn’t stay amicable for long because Alex is out here finally dropping some truth bombs. In a podcast appearance on the Viall Files earlier this year, he spilled some piping hot tea about the toxic environment in the house.

“We would make jokes like, ‘If you can’t make TikToks, you can’t eat’, because of how hard Thomas was on everyone about posting,” Alex told the host Nick Viall.

Alex referred to Thomas as “the guy who will take credit for creating Hype House”, before saying, “he was just someone who wanted to be apart of something very badly and found himself very luckily in the hands of Hype House”.

Alex confirmed that he is no longer on speaking terms with Thomas.

Business Insider reported that when an influencer joined the Hype House they were made to sign “several non-disclosure, non-disparagement, confidentiality, and waiver-and-release clauses”. This was to protect “Hype House from all damages incurred in the Los Angeles mansion, and grant the Hype House Group and its de facto owner Thomas Petrou rights to all content filmed on the property”.

Alex and past Hype House members including TikTokker Tabitha Swatosh have hinted at a more insidious truth behind the content crew, but have not been able to share their side of the story because of these NDAs. But, with Alex’s new song, it seems like the contracts are up!

Even if it’s not about the house or the members. I still want to know what happened between everyone. Looks like maybe we will all get to know…??? NDA IS EXPIRED

When will Alex Warren’s song about the Hype House be released?

Fans will have to wait a little while longer before they can hear the full shady track, as Alex is releasing another single about his wife tonight.

The Hype House diss track will be part of Alex’s album debut, which he said will be coming out in less than a month.

In the meantime fans have continued to speculate the true meaning behind the lyrics they’ve heard so far. One user summed it up saying, “Never tell us the drama I fully just would like to interpret it from this song”.

I for one will be sat listening to this sneak peek on repeat till we get the full song and the full tea!
