The Hundred: London Spirit pick up England U19 star Grace Scrivens and American bowler Tara Norris

London Spirit have re-signed England U19 star Grace Scrivens and picked up American bowler Tara Norris ahead of this summer’s latest edition of the Hundred.

Scrivens played all six of the Spirit’s matches during last year’s Hundred, which featured a shortened women’s tournament due to a clash with the Commonwealth Games, but gained wider recognition after being named player of the tournament as England reached U19 World Cup final in South Africa earlier this year.

Norris, who was born in Philadelphia but moved to England at the age of eight, excelled for Delhi Capitals at the inaugural Women’s Premier League in India this spring, taking the first five-for in the competition’s history. The 24-year-old heads to the capital having been an unused member of Southern Brave’s squad last summer.

Scrivens is one of six members of England’s U19 squad to have agreed deals in the latest round of Hundred signings, with team-mate Niamh Holland also heading to Lord’s.

Defending champions Oval Invincibles have signed Eva Gray, Ryana MacDonald-Gay and Kira Chathli, all three of whom were part of last season’s success.

The two London sides start their campaigns against one another at Lord’s on Wednesday, August 2.
