The Hoppings 2023 ride list in full including 'nail-biting' new attraction

The Hoppings has announced its full list of rides set to take up residence on Newcastle's Town Moor later this month, including a brand new addition for thrill-seekers.

The famous funfair will return to its usual spot on Friday, June 16 for the 141st time, bringing with it around 350 attractions including 42 rides - some of which are among the biggest, highest and fastest of their kind in Europe. This year visitors will see the "nail-biting" Rocket Ride make its debut, which sees riders lifted 60 metres into the air and spun around in a corkscrew-like motion before coming back down to Earth.

The new ride will feature alongside traditional fairground favourites including the Dodgems, Waltzers and Helter-Skelter, with popular rides such as the Magic Mouse, Rockrage, Twist and Super Bowl also expected to draw in the crowds. There will be Flying Planes and Dumbos for the little ones, while the likes of the Ghost Train, Freak Out and Atmosfear will bring the thrills for older visitors.

The Town Moor will also be home to an Inflatable Minion for the duration of the Hoppings, while the sideshows will be full of fun for all ages including the usual rifle range, coconut shies and hook a duck. The fair's food and drink village, Feast Street, will also be extended this year with more food stalls than ever before, alongside the addition of a stage with live entertainment each day.

The family-favourite Giant Wheel will be making a comeback too, while the bravest visitors can test their nerves to the limit on the likes of Ice Jet, Outer Limits and Booster Max. Running until Sunday, June 25, organisers have promised that this year's rides "will leave you breathless" by offering visitors of all ages "an adrenaline-fuelled adventure".
