The Holdovers, a coming-of-age comedy film, has garnered five Academy Award nominations, including best picture, best original screenplay, best film editing, best actor for Paul Giamatti, and best supporting actress for Da’Vine Joy Randolph. The movie is now available for on-demand viewing at home, just in time for the Oscars.

Viewers can catch The Holdovers on Peacock for subscribers or opt to purchase or rent it digitally in 4K Ultra HD on platforms like Prime Video and Apple TV. The digital purchase price is currently discounted at $10 (regularly $20), while the rental option is available for $6.

For those who prefer the big screen experience, The Holdovers is still showing in theaters, with tickets accessible through Fandango and other ticketing platforms.

The screenplay of The Holdovers, penned by David Hemingson, has also received an Oscar nomination. Fans of the film can purchase the screenplay in paperback for $15 or as a Kindle e-book for $7. Kindle Unlimited subscribers can access the e-book for free, or non-subscribers can sign up for a 30-day free trial to enjoy the reading experience.

Directed by Alexander Payne, The Holdovers revolves around Angus Tully, a troublesome student at an all-boys boarding school who finds himself stuck on campus during the holiday season. Tully, known as a 'holdover,' must navigate the company of Paul Hunham, a grumpy classics professor, and Mary Lamb, the school's cafeteria manager, for two weeks over Christmas break.

In addition to Giamatti and Randolph, the film features a talented ensemble cast, including Carrie Preston, Brady Hepner, Ian Dolley, Jim Kaplan, Michael Provost, Andrew Garman, Naheem Garcia, and Stephen Thorne.
