With hundreds of stunning beaches and expansive coastlines, Scotland is one of the best places in the UK to get out for walks by the sea. One hidden gem beach, in particular, has just been named as one of the best in the UK for taking a walk with your dogs.
The team at PDSA Pet Insurance compiled a list of their top 10 from around the country and Lunan Bay in Angus was picked out as the only Scottish entry.
Speaking about the stunning golden sand beach on the north east coast, the PDSA team wrote: "Lunan Bay is a beautiful beach bordered by sand dunes. There’s lots to explore here including a cave and a ruined castle - do be careful if you go exploring, though.
"The beach is popular with surfers and horse riders but the area around the bay is ideal for long walks with your dog."

Lunan Bay's expansive beach stretches for over a mile, with plenty of space for excited pets to run about and explore.
The beach also has parking and a handy cafe to refuel after a long walk.
