Most of the actors and actresses who starred in the Harry Potter films read the books to get in touch with their character - but one star was an obsessed fan from the beginning.
The super-fan also ended up dating one of her co-stars for nine years, reports MyLondon. Evanna Lynch, 31, is an Irish actress and animal rights activist who is best known for her role as ditzy Luna Lovegood, appearing first in the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix 2007 film.

Evanna is praised highly for her portrayal of Luna in the films, and JK Rowling even revealed that the actress influenced how she wrote Luna in the later books.
The 31-year-old started reading the Harry Potter series at just eight years old, but was also heavily involved with reading and writing fan fiction about the fictional wizarding world. The actress also confessed to being a "big part" of the 'Mugglenet' community.
Speaking on the Normal Not Normal podcast, she said of the books: "I got utterly obsessed. It just took over my whole identity. I loved it so much."
Evanna also met her boyfriend of nine years through the franchise, who played the younger version of Harry's father James Potter in the fifth film. Robbie Jarvis and Evanna kept their relationship private for seven years before eventually going public.
They split in 2016 but remain good friends. Another unknown fact is that Evanna actually designed Luna's iconic radish earrings herself.
The actress also collaborated with costume designers on other accessories for Luna. It wasn't just in the costume department that Evanna made her mark, as the actress also influenced JK Rowling's portrayal of Luna in later books.
The author told Charlie Rose that when writing the final books Evanna "got in my head" and she even "heard her voice when I was writing Luna".
Evanna continues to expand her acting career and is also an ambassador for JK Rowling's charity Lumos. She is a committed vegan and animal rights activist.
