She said: "I'm really excited because I'm going to be sharing a story, a song or a poem for you all.
"I know that you're all stuck at home and not able to go to school and I thought perhaps as it is a bit of squash and a squeeze for some of you at home we might have the first story be my very first book, which is called A Squash And A Squeeze.

"It's a a story about a little old lady who thinks her house is too small, but actually that story didn't start off as a story, it was a song that I wrote for children's televison. So, along with my husband Malcolm, we are going to sing you the song."
With Malcolm on guitar and various animal props, Julie sang the song to the delight of more than 10,000 children who tuned in to watch.
Following the fun performance Alex Scheffler, who illustrates most of Donaldson's books then gave kids an art lesson on how to draw their favourite characters.
Julie will be live on her Facebook page every Thursday at 4pm, so tune in!
