The grim Swansea City ratings as key areas exposed in Hull City loss

BEN HAMER 4

Did little to help his side's cause in what was a poor first half showing. Nowhere near the two goals and was sloppy in possession on numerous occasions. Didn't have much to do in the second half though.

BEN CABANGO 5

Hull had so much joy in behind, although, in fairness, Cabango put in a number of vital tackles on Keane Lewis-Potter.

KYLE NAUGHTON 5

Bold on the ball when needed and made his fair share of clearances, one of which was off his own line. But dragged out of position far too much which didn't help the visitors.

RYAN MANNING 5

The Republic of Ireland man has been in good form of late, although he wasn't at his best this afternoon. A couple of decent defensive interventions were important, though. Booked for a poor challenge late on.

CYRUS CHRISTIE - Star Man 6

The only Swansea player to look threatening in the first half, particularly after swapping to the left flank. Carried a threat after the restart too. Not much more he could have done.

JAY FULTON 4

On his first league start since August, the Scot was understandably undercooked. He always took the safe option which did little to aid Swansea's attacking hopes. Subbed.

MATT GRIMES 6

His best work came in a defensive capacity. He was really bold in the second half and desperately tried to create things from deep, but to no avail.

JOEL LATIBEAUDIERE 4

You have to feel for the youngster. He struggled in attacking areas and so many crosses were wayward. Swansea need more quality in that area.

KOREY SMITH 4

Smith was far too wasteful in possession and was unable to offer his side any kind of attacking threat. Subbed.

HANNES WOLF 4

Tried to offer a threat in the Hull half, but his attempts didn't come off. The Austrian had Swansea's only effort on goal.

JOEL PIROE 4

Starved of service and - quite frankly - looks like he badly needs a breather. It's easy to see why Russell Martin is targeting a striker to ease the burden on the Dutchman. Scored at the death but was denied by the offside flag.

Subs

Michael Obafemi (for Fulton) - Unable to convert a chance to drag Swansea back into the match but got into some promising positions. 6

Olivier Ntcham (for Wolf) - The Frenchman was key to Swansea's second half improvement. Got into promising positions and got his side into the final third far more often. 6

Liam Walsh (for Smith) - Hit the post with a free-kick and helped Swansea in their quest to get back into it. 6
