The Greatest Dancer fans baffled over group dynamic - but praise amazing lifts

The Greatest Dancer viewers were left baffled as dance group JJ Acrobatics performed with a topless male member on the show - but loved their performance.

The young group of girls took to the stage in hope to impress judges Cheryl , Matthew Morrison , Oti Mabuse and Todrick Hall.

They performed an Acro Dance extravaganza in sparkly tops and hot pants - accompanied by a topless man who performed lifts and spins with the dancers.

Some viewers deemed the act as "inappropriate" as the girls showed off their routine to the judges.

Taking to Twitter, one cross fan said: "I might have just missed something and maybe he's like 14 or something and just grown but why's this half naked bloke dancing around with these little kids throwing them about?"

"Why is that guy dancing around in his pants with little girls? Weird" another upset fan wrote.

However others praised the dancers for their amazing work.

One wrote: "Watching #TheGreatestDancer how good was JJ Acrobatics?"

Another said: "The male was amazing! He got made to wear what he was wearing!!"

While a third said: "Loved this group".

The judges loved the girls' performance and opened the mirror as they were dancing so they could show the live audience.

Todrick gushed: "It was simply spectacular. The lift where you all went over and it looked like a snake or something - that was so cool!"

He praised one of the girls - Poppy - for being flung around during the lifts.

And Cheryl said: "You were absolutely amazing, all of you were as strong as each other.

"The storytelling was amazing, the different moves that I've never seen before - you were fantastic."
