Voters in Greater Manchester took to the polls in the local council elections on Thursday. The results are now in across the region.
People in Bury, Bolton, Oldham, Manchester, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford and Wigan have had their say on who they think should run their local public services, including education, libraries, and bin collections.
Polling stations opened at 7am and closed at 10pm. Counts took taking place at different times across the region, with some starting straight away and others being held on Friday morning.
In Greater Manchester seats were available in the all of the region's 10 councils. Local elections also took place across the UK. More than 200 local authorities held votes, including all 33 London boroughs and 34 metropolitan boroughs in England.
