With a little over six minutes remaining in the divisional round of the playoffs, it looked like the San Francisco 49ers‘ season was heading toward an abrupt and disappointing end. However, a missed 41-yard field goal from Green Bay Packers kicker Anders Carlson opened the door for the 49ers.
Following a flat performance for the first three and a half quarters, Brock Purdy woke up when it mattered most, The 49ers sophomore passer led his team down the field for a go-ahead touchdown. With just over a minute remaining, Christian McCaffrey punched in his second touchdown of the game to give the 49ers a three-point lead.
While the Packers had one last chance to move the ball into field goal range, 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw came to the rescue with a game-ending interception of Jordan Love.
Although it wasn’t easy, the 49ers punched their ticket to the NFC championship game with a roller coaster 24-21 victory over the Packers. Here’s a look at some of the good and bad from San Francisco’s performance in the divisional round of the playoffs.
