Outlander star Sam Heughan has revealed one of his favourite bars in Glasgow.
It seems the Scots actor, known for famously playing Jamie Fraser on the hit time-travelling show, has a soft spot for a west-end institution, paying homage to Stravaigin on Gibson Street in his latest video, a guide to Scotland for Condé Nast Traveler.
In the clip, Sam explains the meaning behind several famous Scottish words and phrases (including the name for his whisky and his pet name for Claire in the show, Sassenach) before revealing that he loves the word Stravaig, and the popular bar and restaurant which takes its name from it, reports the Express.
In the clip on Youtube, he says: "This is a beautiful word. Stravaig. Or if you are doing this, you are stravaiging. One of my favourite bars in Glasgow is called Stravaigin. It means to wander, or to go for a wee stroll, normally in the hour before sunset. You know, the golden hour. I love that one."

The popular bar is a favourite of TV actors and stars from the world of pop, first opened back in the early 1990s, Stravaigin has since gone on to become on the city's favourites, offering up modern takes on traditional Scottish dishes.
The in-demand bar underwent a month-long refurb at the start of the year, before reopening and introducing its new basement wine bar called The Cellar.
Earlier this year, Heughan posted a photo on Instagram of himself with the staff in Stravaigin as he dropped off a bottle or two of his signature 'Sassenach' whisky.
