Glasgow's culinary scene is starting to get the recognition it deserves for the vast array of incredible restaurants you'll find around the city.
With many of us considering ourselves foodies it's no surprise we know a good food joint when we see one and it seems it's not just us who realise how good the city has it.
Leading restaurant review and booking website SquareMeal has just released its top 100 for around the UK for 2023 and some of Glasgow's best feature on the shortlist.

No fewer than three great eateries in fact, with the Michelin-starred Cail Bruich, city centre favourites Celatano's and surprise entry Bar Brett being highlighted.
Speaking about the list, a spokesperson for SquareMeal said: "In order to make a place on the list, each restaurant had to offer more than just a good meal. It had to provide guests with an exceptional all-round experience. From gorgeous interiors, top-class wine lists and stunning views through to exemplary service and sustainability commitments, we weighed up the whole package.
"When we say this list is months in the making, we really mean it. We take huge care and pride in making sure only the very best in the industry find a place on the list, and have eaten at hundreds of restaurants over the past 12 months to whittle down the winners."
The Glasgow entries in SquareMeal's top UK 100 for 2023:
Cail Bruich, Great Western Road
SquareMeal said: "With a spectacular chef’s table for two, plus a luxurious, contemporary main dining room, Cail Bruich is a special occasion spot worth saving up for. Here you’ll be treated to Lorna McNee’s unique flair for elevating the best of Scottish produce."
Bar Brett, Great Western Road
SquareMeal said: "A wine bar where the food is as good - if not better - than the carefully selected low-intervention drinks list, Bar Brett turns out plates full of the hum of wood-fired cooking that borrow inspiration from across the globe."
Celentano's Glasgow, Cathedral Square
SquareMeal said: "This relaxed, Italian-inspired eatery is headed up by husband-and-wife team Dean and Anna who offer simple, unfussy dishes designed to be shared with loved ones. Sustainable initiatives are put into practice too, with many of its biodynamic and organic wines available on tap to reduce glass waste."
And it's not just Glasgow that was recognised, other restaurants not too far from the city recognised by SquareMeal include the ever-popular Inver in Strathlachlan in Argyll, the new Glenturret Lalique Crieff at Glenturret Distillery in Perthshire and of course, widely considered to be Scotland's best restaurant, the famous Restaurant Andrew Fairlie.
