SEVERAL Scottish restaurants have been named among the 100 best in the UK in a new award looking at over 1.2 million diner reviews.
The list, which was compiled by the popular booking app OpenTable, named spots in Glasgow and Edinburgh.
Beyond the volume of reviews, OpenTable looked at other metrics, including: "diner ratings, percentage of reservations made in advance, and five-star reviews."

Two eateries in Glasgow and three in Scotland's capital were named in the list including popular cafes and fine-dining experiences.

Praised as "undoubtedly one of the best restaurants in Edinburgh" by users on Tripadvisor, Café St Honoré, is known for its "quant atmosphere" with users giving it a 4.5 out of 5 based on 921 reviews.
Forage & Chatter has been rated a 5/5 out of 1497 reviews with one user writing: "The food, atmosphere, and service were all top notch.
"I highly recommend this excellent restaurant that serves some of the best, freshly chef-prepared meals and appetizers from local sources that defy expression in mere words..."
Located on Pollockshaws Road, Lobo has a 5/5 on Tripadvisor and has been celebrated for its "fantastic French tapas cuisine" with one visitor writing: "After hearing wonderful things from people on Instagram my friends and I decided to give this lovely place a try. It was a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was amazing."
Number 16 in Glasgow's West End was another spot to make it on the list with the restaurant boasting a Michelin star.
