The Games fans in hysterics as Ryan Thomas suffers wardrobe malfunction on ITV show

The Games fans were left in hysterics tonight as Ryan Thomas suffered a wardrobe malfunction on the ITV show.

The former Coronation Street and Celebrity Big Brother star is taking part in the new show alongside a string of other celebs including The Wanted's Max George, model Christine McGuiness, Corrie star Colson Smith and Emmerdale's Rebecca Sarker.

But as the group took part in mixed pairs diving during tonight's show, Ryan suffered an unfortunate wardrobe malfunction, leaving viewers at home in hysterics as hosts Holly Willoughby and Freddie Flintoff joked about what happened.

Replaying the footage, the duo and their fellow guest panellists laughed about the mishap.

Ryan was left red-faced (ITV)

As Ryan dived into the water, the sheer force of the water pulled down his swimming trunks and his bare bottom was revealed to the cameras, as he rushed to pull his clothes up and protect his modesty.

"Whoops. Ryan Thomas nearly lost his speedos #TheGames," one fan wrote online.

Another added: "Oh hello Ryan Thomas, you cheeky boy #TheGames," as a third fan of the show penned on social media: "The Moon is shining. Ryan Thomas also has a nice bum #TheGames."

He couldn't believe what happened (ITV)

Ryan had previously described the show as an "amazing opportunity" for him.

Speaking ahead of the series, he said: "I think this is an amazing opportunity to give myself motivation, focus, keep fit mentally and physically, meet new people and learn new skills. I’m totally taking myself out of my comfort zone which is why we are all here I think. I think my favourite event will be the hammer."

He also admitted his least favourite would be the diving because he didn't want to injure himself.

Ryan gave viewers more than what they were expecting (ITV)

"Least favourite will be the diving because I’m worried about doing belly flops and hurting myself! But they are all really difficult sports. I’m more of a team player so it’s going to be difficult to say I’m really competitive but I don’t want to come last!" he said.

"I’d like to win a few! I’ll need to bring it. But who knows, we’ll see."

*The Games continues on ITV at 9pm.
