NFL 2K Playmakers is now available on mobile devices through Android and iOS. This non-simulation tactical card battler mobile game is made possible through a collaboration between the National Football League, the NFL Players Association (NFLPA) and 2K.
Those who download the game and create an account before May 7 get to obtain a special launch bundle which comes with a Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud Player Card.
In the game, players get to collect NFL player cards and assemble the strongest roster that they can on offense, defense and special teams. It pretty much puts players squarely on the gridiron. Players can make their mark by leveling up their card collection while playing on different game modes and features.
Key features of the game include:
- Red Zone Drive Mode
- In Red Zone Drive, decisions made on the field matter.
- Players need to apply their NFL knowledge, call strategic plays, and watch their team execute on the field.
- Draft a custom roster of NFL player cards and chase the win to earn rewards across different regions.
- Seasons Mode
- Players can build their dream team and lead them through an NFL season on the way to a Super Bowl victory.
- Players can join an NFL season and earn their way into the playoffs for a chance at becoming a Super Bowl Champion.
- Leverage Real NFL Results
- Beginning with the upcoming 2024 NFL season, players can make predictions about upcoming real NFL games to score points for a chance to win in-game rewards.

In a statement vice president of video gaming at the NFL Ed Kiang shared that this new mobile game introduces a new way for NFL fans to engage. Meanwhile SVP d Ashwin Desai said that the game elevates gaming especially with the real player likeness. Desai is connected with OneTeam Partners, the group licensing partner for NFLPA in the digital games category. He added that the goal was to increase engagement and realism as well as overall value when it comes to mobile gaming.
NFL 2K Playmakers is developed by Cat Daddy Games and now available to download free for mobile. App includes optional in-game purchases.
