The Future Funk Has Arrived to FOAMSTARS

A new party arrives. (Credit: Square Enix)

Square Enix announced that the fourth season of FOAMSTARS is finally here. In Future Funk, players get to enjoy three new maps where they can foam, slide, and of course, party their way across. Meanwhile, the Extreme Party and the One-Shot Chill Party are introducing something new. There's also the return of Happy FriYAY Party.

That said, let's take a closer look at what the new season brings.

New Maps

Season 4 of the game introduces a new map, one for each mode. There's "Smash the Star" where players get to fight it out in the luxurious VIP resort Manami An. For those new to the game, Manami An is a floating island that's out at sea and features a sprawling Zen Garden.

The second map is the "Happy Bath Survival: which is a Ghoulish Glide Graveyard. It introduces players to a rather terrifying theme park that comes with sneaky paths and even a giant coffin that's in the center of the stage. Finally, there's the "Rubber Duck Party." This has players duke it out and fight for control of the duck with the help of launch poppers for quick shortcuts and a bridge to hold their ground.

Let's Party

Over in Extreme Party, players can check out the Coiff Guy Pitchside Homerun Party and see if they have what it takes to knock other players off in this new map. Then the One-Shot Chill Party offers a 2-vs-2 battle where players get to foam up an opponent with a single shot.

As mentioned, Happy FriYAY Party is back. This is a limited-time party event where players can try next season's new FOAMSTAR. For Ranked Party, there are two limited-time seasonal events which are the solo player-based Ranked Party Lonestar and team-based Ranked Party Tribe-Vibe.

New Items

Players should be happy to know that with the new season, they can now take on limited-time challenges and in return get to unlock 8 eight skins that's inspired by the virtual streamers of hololive.

There are also the free weekly items which players can obtain every Friday. For May, there's the new Mel T dance and the two new foam guns with Jet Justice's Green Poison and Soa's Green Checked. A new Slideboard is also being offered. Be sure to drop by the FOAMSTAR shop.

FOAMSTARS is available to purchase for $29.99 through the PlayStation Store and needs a PlayStation Plus subscription. A Premium Season Pass is available for purchase at $5.99.
