Viewers and fans of ITV1's This Morning were left shocked when Phillip Schofield stepped down from presenting the show after 20 years presenting the programme. Now, as the controversy unfolds, many have been left wondering who could replace Phillip?
It has been confirmed that Holly Willoughby, who usually presents alongside Phillip, will be returning to This Morning on Monday, June 5. ITV has said she will be joined by other members of the "This Morning family" and has not yet confirmed who Phillip's full-time replacement will be.
Here are who the bookies think could be in the running for the primetime presenting slot and we, of course, have some Welsh suggestions. You can keep up to date with the latest TV and showbiz news by signing up to the newsletter here.

Alison Hammond
Quickly working her way up to national treasure status is Alison Hammond. She normally presents This Morning on Fridays alongside Dermot O'Leary.
She has hosted alongside Holly previously, when covering for Phillip, and has recently been announced as the new co-host of The Great British Bake Off. Bookmakers Ladbrokes have given Alison odds of 2/1.
Rylan
Previously Rylan has stepped in to host This Morning and has presented his own segments on the show. He is however very close friends with Eamonn and Ruth Holmes and Eamonn has not held back on his criticism of Phillip and ITV.
Rylan has recently spoken about working in the TV and showbiz industry. He said: "I’ve been in this industry for nearly 11 years, and all I’ve ever been is nice and polite to people."
"And that’s starting to pay off for me now, because there are people in this industry who aren’t like that. They think they’re something special. And the walls are starting to fall." Bookies have given Rylan a 3/1 odds of landing the role.
Dermot O'Leary
Like Alison, Dermot O'Leary hosts This Morning on Fridays. The 50-year-old is at odds of 4/1 for becoming Phil's replacement and sitting beside Holly every day on This Morning.
Gino D'Acampo
Although he brings chaos to the This Morning kitchen, celebrity chef Gino D'Acampo is believed to be in the running for the job. He regularly appears on This Morning as the chef, which often ends in hilarity.
Gino has also said he will not be filming any more of his ITV show Gordon, Gino and Fred, with Gordon Ramsay and Fred Sirieix, meaning his schedule may be free for This Morning. Bookies have given him 25/1 odds.
Gyles Brandreth
Gyles Brandreth, who often appears on This Morning to discuss the latest news and headlines, is also in the running for the main job. Many enjoy Gyles's appearances on the show, including his knitted jumpers, and he said he was "very happy" working on This Morning.
Bookies have given Gyles odds of 33/1 to replace Phil.
Piers Morgan
A more rouge choice is Piers Morgan after he famously stormed out of his Good Morning Britain presenting role. He currently presents on TalkTV.
Public relations expert Anthony Burr, who specialises in Publicity, Media, and Crisis Management wouldn't be surprised if Piers makes a return to ITV. He told The Metro: "ITV may well play it safe and promote Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond to fill Phil and Holly’s shoes permanently."
"But if they do want to take the opportunity for a change of direction, and execs feel that it is time for a more hard-hitting programme, don’t be surprised to hear Piers Morgan’s or Davina McCall’s names being bandied about." Bookies have given him odds of 50/1.
Joanna Page
Welsh star Joanna Page shot to fame on the BBC Three sitcom Gavin & Stacey and has since gone on to have different presenting jobs, including Shop Well For Less and The Pet Show. She is currently presenting her own segment on This Morning, called Set Jetting and we think she could be a great co-host alongside Holly.
Gethin Jones
Now, this would require Gethin Jones moving from his current BBC morning presenting role on Morning Live but Gethin was born to present. Since starting out on Blue Peter Gethin has presented many different shows including Daybreak and Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two.
Owain Wyn Evans
Another great Welsh fit for This Morning could be Owain Wyn Evans. Known as the drumming weatherman Owain now has his own BBC Radio 2 show, which he broadcasts live from Cardiff, and was very popular when he appeared on Freeze the Fear with Wim Hof, which was co-hosted by Holly.
