The full list of countries that must arrest Benjamin Netanyahu 'on sight'

ANY state which is signed up to the International Criminal Court (ICC) must arrest the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu under international law.

Arrest warrants for Netanyahu and several others have been issued for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity.

The court says the alleged crimes have been committed from at least October 8, 2023 until at least May 20, 2024.

States signed up to the ICC’s Rome Statute are obliged to detain the men "on sight".

The 124 signatories do not include Russia, China and the US. Israel has not signed either.

Netanyahu, Israel’s longest-serving prime minister, is now not able to visit Western allies without risking arrest.

Of the 124 countries which are signed up to the Rome Statute of the ICC; 33 are African states; 19 are Asia-Pacific States; 19 are from Eastern Europe; 28 are from Latin American and Caribbean states, and 25 are from Western European and other states.

Muhammad Shehada, a Gazan visiting fellow at the European Council on Foreign Relations, wrote on social media after the news broke: "The world just got a lot smaller for Israeli war criminals.

"Bibi will only take direct flights from now on to the US, any transit or emergency landing in 124 ICC member states means his immediate arrest.

He added: "Israeli ministers, military generals and high ranking officials will also be scared to step a foot in 124 ICC member states out of fear of unannounced arrest warrants or authorities in those states using the ICC warrant against Netanyahu as precedent to interrogate the rest."
