SEVERAL major music artists have been revealed as the headliners for a music festival in Stirlingshire.
Back Doune the Rabbit Hole has announced its line up for 2025 edition, set to take place from August 1 to 3.
It's the festival's first year back after a two-year hiatus.
Doune the Rabbit Hole has been on a break since it emerged that the festival owed hundreds of thousands of pounds to performers and staff who worked there in 2022.
Headlining the weekend are Marc Almond of Soft Cell fame on Friday, “Whistle for the Choir” artists The Fratellis on Saturday, and The Zutons, who rose to fame for their version of “Valerie”, on Sunday.
The festival line up will also feature chart-topping pop group Scouting for Girls, The Feeling, Newton Faulkner, and Elvana.
Also announced are acclaimed singer-songwriter Lucy Spraggan, folk-punk band Ferocious Dog, and the Undertones.
The line-up announcement follows the festival’s return under new management, led by recording and touring artist Brian Harkin in partnership with Rock Artist Management, directed by Colin Black and Paul Aspey.
“We’re absolutely buzzing to bring Doune the Rabbit Hole back to life,” said Brian Harkin. “The response and support so far have been incredible, and we’re so grateful to everyone who’s placed their trust in us to carry this festival forward.
“This event has always been about bringing people together through a love of music, and we’ve worked hard to put together a line-up that reflects that spirit. Diverse, exciting, and packed with talent.”
He continued: “We can’t wait to welcome festival goers back to Cardross Estate in August for a weekend that stays true to what has made the festival special, while bringing new energy and experience to lead it into this new chapter.”
The last edition of Doune ended dramatically when the Bectu trade union, which represented artists and crews, called for a boycott of the event as the row over payments developed.
Ultimately, Doune the Rabbit Hole was cancelled for the "foreseeable future" with managers accusing the trade union of running a "campaign of misinformation" leading to a fall in ticket sales.
Back Doune the Rabbit Hole will run from Friday to Sunday, August 1-3 2025 on the Cardross Estate, Stirlingshire.
The 2025 event promises to offer an inclusive, family-friendly experience for all ages.
