A Bristol restaurant popular with Instagram users has gone up for sale after quietly closing its doors last month. The lease for The Florist on Park Street is currently being marketed alongside that of neighbouring nightclub Yia Mass for £2,500,000 by Christie & Co.
Housed at 67 and 69 Park Street, the two adjoining Grade II listed freehold buildings have a single owner who hopes to sell the lease for both properties as a single entity. The Florist is now listed online as 'permanently closed' and the Bristol branch has disappeared from its website's location list.
Opening its doors at 69 Park Street in 2018, The Florist was part of a chain of decor-led bars and restaurants owned by New World Trading Company, the hospitality business behind The Botanist brand. Its food may have met with mixed reviews including from Bristol Live, but The Florist has remained a staple spot in Bristol for boozy brunches and hen parties, winning a Trip Advisor traveller's choice award in 2022.

Next door at 67 is one of Bristol's longest-established late-night venues Yia Mass, which went on the market as a going concern in January after decades as a fixture of the city's student scene. With no door charge, affordable drinks and a 4.30am licence, the family-run bar brings a touch of the Mediterranean to the middle of Park Street.
Yia Mass is housed in the basement and ground floor of 67 Park Street. According to the property listing, its lease expires in June 2042, with a yearly rent of £37,176. Meanwhile, the first and second floors above Yia Mass are currently part of The Florist, which also occupies the first four floors of 69 Park Street, with a lease expiring in September 2042 and a yearly rent of £105,000.
The listing states that "both units are separately traded as going concerns, but the tenants are looking to assign their existing businesses". However, The Florist appears to have shut its doors and is labelled permanently closed on Google and TripAdvisor.
Agents suggest that a purchaser could obtain vacant possession of the 8,500 sq ft space by buying in the two leasehold interests, allowing the upper floors to potentially be redeveloped for residential use.
At present, Yia Mass has a bar situated on the ground floor along with seating and a DJ booth, as well as a mezzanine floor providing more seating space. The lower ground floor comprises the ladies and gentlemen's WCs, cellar and manager's offices.
The Florist is arranged over four levels to offer a range of bar and dining areas. The ground floor bar area has seating for around 20 covers, a beer cellar, accessible toilets, a trade kitchen, plus prep and wash-up sections and walk-in chilled storage.
On the first floor, there are two separate trade areas for 80 covers while upstairs is an 'orangery' themed restaurant area with an adjoining cocktail bar and panoramic views over the city centre.
