A new trailer for The Flash has been released, offering fans a glimpse into what to expect from the upcoming Ezra Miller movie.
A trailer was first released in October 2021, but a number of controversies linked to the movie have delayed its arrival in cinemas.
Fans finally got to see more of the movie during the Super Bowl on Sunday night (February 12), in a trailer that offered a first look at Michael Keaton reprising his role as Batman.
DC fans are sure to be itching to see the new film. Here’s what we know and when you can expect The Flash to hit the big screen.

“Time has a pattern that it can’t help reliving,” Allen says in the trailer, “different people, different worlds, drawn to each other like magnets.”
The Flash sees Allen inadvertently create a world without metahumans – or superheroes – meaning there’s nobody to defend Earth.
Two Flashes – both played by Miller – team up with two Batmans, presumably from different universes, or different eras.
The Flash cast
Ezra Miller will return as Barry Allen, known as The Flash, despite recent allegations of criminal behaviour.
Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton will also both reprise their roles as Batman.
Keaton played Batman in the 1989 movie Batman, as well as Batman Returns (1992).
While Affleck starred as the superhero in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), Suicide Squad (2016), Justice League (2017), and Zack Snyder’s Justice League (2021).
Michael Shannon will reprise his role as General Zod, Kiersey Clemons plays Iris West, and Ron Livingston is Henry Allen.
Sasha Calle has been cast to play Supergirl, Antje Traue is Faora-Ul, and Temuera Morrison plays Tom Curry.
The Flash release date
The Flash will be released in cinemas on June 16, 2023.
The film is expected to play a major role in the reboot of the DC Universe, with Gunn recently sharing updates on an eight- to 10-year plan for the franchise.
Sharing the trailer for the film on Sunday, he wrote on Twitter: “I love this movie so much. Can’t wait for you all to see it.”
