Here Are The Fastest NBN Plans If You Don’t Want To Crack The Shits About Slow Internet Again

fastest nbn plans australia

Nobody should settle for sluggish NBN speeds, especially in 2025. We’ve all got important shit to do, and no one wants to wait around for new eps of Severance to buffer. Or, god forbid, spending an entire evening waiting for Fortnite to finish patching. When all of your housemates are also pushing your router to its limits, watching your browser load can feel like watching ice melt into water.

We’ve put together the fastest NBN plans for every speed tier from a range of providers, so you can enjoy some quick speeds that’ll still give you the most bang for your buck. Plus, having housemates is great for splitting the monthly bill.

From NBN 100 to NBN 1000, here are the fastest NBN plans ranked by speed tier. As a sweet bonus, most of these plans include introductory deals that’ll give you cheaper internet for the first six months of your plan with no lock-in contracts, so you can easily yeet it if you aren’t happy with the service.

The fastest NBN 100 plans

If you live in a big household or consider yourself the most chronically online person on the planet, this is the best plan to choose if your connection needs some oomph. This is an ideal option for creatives such as those who like to stream, play games or need to upload big files regularly.

Most internet providers offer NBN plans that can typically hit top speeds of 100Mbps. As far as the fastest NBN 100 plans go, Spintel currently has the cheapest option. The provider is running an introductory offer where you’ll pay $65 per month for the first six months of your plan, and then $81.95 per month thereafter.

Up next is Southern Phone, which is priced at $65 per month for the first six months and then $89 per month thereafter.

If you’re looking to stretch your dollar a bit more, Exetel is also a solid pick. You can get your first six months discounted at $65.99, and then $84.99 after. Exetel also has five daily speed boosts per month, which will let you bump up your downloads to NBN 250 speeds. Not a bad bonus, but your home will need to have an FTTP (Fibre to the Premises) or HFC (Hybrid Fibre Coaxial) connection.

The fastest NBN 250 plans

An NBN 250 plan will sort ya out if you’re after something that’s super fast. You’ll make your entire Valorant lobby quake with your lack of latency. Just keep in mind that some households can’t support an NBN 250 plan, so you’ll need to check if your place has an FTTP or HFC NBN connection available before you commit – otherwise, you’ll be paying for an expensive plan with zero results.

Without further ado, the best deal right now is with Dodo, which offers a six-month introductory period for $83.90 per month. After those initial few months, the price will jump to $98.90 per month. This is a pretty neat deal, especially as you’ll score the maximum evening speed capacity of 250Mbps, which will easily fulfil your need for speed.

After that, you’ve got Vodafone which is offering its fast NBN 250 plan for $84 per month for the first six months you’re with the provider. After this period, you’ll be paying $94 per month, which is still cheaper than the average full price for NBN 250 plans. You can also get a Speed upgrade for free if you already have a mobile phone plan with them.

Kogan is up next, and also a solid option. It’s slinging an introductory offer of $84.90 per month for the first six months, which will climb to $94.90 after. Only a few nickels more expensive than Vodafone.

The fastest NBN 1000 plans

Need to download the brand new Assassin’s Creed in minutes? With an NBN 1000 plan, you can! This is the fastest NBN plan you can grab. However, it’s only available to households with an FTTP or HFC connection.

The fastest (and cheapest) NBN provider on this list is Fl!p, which is able to zoom ahead at 900Mbps during peak hours. It comes in at $94 per month for the first four months you’re with the provider before increasing to $104.90 per month thereafter.

Up next is Swoop who are also providing a 900Mbps connection during peak hours, but at a steeper price. This plan startsat $119 for the first six months, but then climbs to a whopping $139 after. So, this is for those out there looking for max speeds at any price.

If you want a cheaper but fast NBN 1000 plan, Buddy offers a solid $99 for 875Mbps at peak hours. While Buddy isn’t offering any discount prices, you’ll end up paying less after six months. So, unless you really need those extra 25Mbps, Buddy is a pretty neat pick.

And there you have it speed demons. Of course, before signing up to any plan, we recommend double-checking your connection before signing up. Because if you’re gonna be paying for big speed, you better have something to show for it.
