The Falcons are off to a surprising 2-2 start to the 2022 season. And given some of the unfortunate bounces of the ball, one might be able to argue this Atlanta squad should even be 3-1. But it’s how the Falcons have failed to use second-year star tight end Kyle Pitts that makes one wonder whether this team could be undefeated if they gave their best player the ball.
Through four games, the 6-foot-6, 247-pound Pitts has 22 targets and has yet to score a touchdown or record a 100-yard effort. Some notable players who have seen more targets? To name a few — there’s the Chiefs’ third or fourth (at best) receiver in Marquez Valdes-Scantling (23), David Njoku (23) in the Browns’ anemic passing offense, and Arizona’s 5-foot-7 Greg Dortch (24).
Uh, yeah, what exactly is happening in Atlanta that they can’t feed one of football’s best playmakers the ball? It’s a question that NFL fans answered with some hilarious memes.
NFL fans turned Pitts' strange low usage in the Falcons into a hilarious meme
Billy, this is Kyle Pitts
He’s a 21 year old 6’6” tight end that runs a 4.44 40 yard dash. He’s the highest drafted tight end in NFL history. Mike Dikta and him are the only Tight ends in NFL history to have a 1,000 yard seasons as rookies.
His defect is he now plays LT pic.twitter.com/McTapKi5ad

Rostering Kyle Pitts is fun because I’m never gonna sit him so every time he busts all I have to say is “I mean it’s Kyle Pitts I can’t sit him”
And then it’s no longer my fault my team keeps losing

The Falcons taking Kyle Pitts ahead of Ja’Marr Chase and refusing to utilize him is one of the greatest mysteries nobody is talking about
