The Exorcist theatre show is coming to Glasgow to mark film's 45th anniversary

The Exorcist is coming to the stage in Glasgow to mark film's 45th anniversary this autumn.

West End producer Bill Kenwright is bringing the spine-tingling live production to the Theatre Royal in September – decades after the Academy Award-winning horror film was unleashed on audiences across the globe.

Based on the best-selling novel by William Peter Blatty and inspired by true events, it tells the story of young girl Regan and her desperate mother, who turns to a local priest when the medical profession fails to provide answers to her daughter's strange symptoms.

Chef Nico launches Supper Club - ‘a restaurant without walls’ in Glasgow’s south side

But before Father Damien can tackle what’s before him, he must overcome his own shaken beliefs, as this fight is for more than just one girl’s soul…

The show is set to be a "visually astounding, intelligent and haunting theatrical experience"... And if that's not thrilling enough, the show will feature the voice of Sir Ian McKellen as the Demon.

The production will open on Tuesday 17 September and run until Saturday 21 September. Tickets are on sale from £13 at ATG Tickets.
