The ES Shopping Shortlist: What to shop, see and know in June 2023

Welcome to our monthly need-to-know list of all the latest and greatest releases that should be on your radar.

Here at ES Best, we’ve constantly got our ear to the ground and looking out for the newest fashion, events, and food and drink, so you don’t have to.

With a full time job, busy social life, and ever-growing Instagram feed, it can be hard to keep up with all the newness out there. From sell-out collections, to limited edition collaborations, with exclusive events and brand new store unveilings in between, we’ve got you covered so you don’t miss out on a thing.

This month the UK’s festival season kicks off good and proper with the likes of Mighty Hoopla, Cambridge Club Festival, Isle of Wight and the biggie, Glastonbury taking place in various patches of green all around the country. Make sure you’re dressed to compete with the best of them by taking a look at our best festival outfits edit for inspo. Whether you decide to go full space cowgirl or rugged and comfy, there’s one thing you don’t want to leave home without: your camping essentials!

Not the camping kind? There’s plenty of fun to be had on green spaces, and without a tent in sight. The big horse races get going this month with Epsom and Ascot taking top billing, while over in the south west corner of London, tennis balls will start flying across the courts as Wimbledon gets underway. All this before you even start thinking about Pride celebrations, not to mention the wedding dates spanning summer weekends in your diary.

And inbetween, a glittering raft of new launches, fresh collabs and exciting shopping drops to make this month one to remember.

If you’re ever at a loss of something to do on the weekend, or need to scratch the retail therapy itch, we’ll be keeping this page up-to-date all month long; best to add it to your bookmarks so you’ve got the insider’s guide right at your fingertips.

Ready? Let’s get to it -

Liberty reveals a new alternative bridal edit

Wedding season 2023 is about to hit full speed, and if you’re a bride without a wedding dress, make a beeline for Liberty. The iconic London department store has revealed a fresh new bridal edit, and it’s on the alt side.

Designed for those who want to go against the grain, the looks are everything but the big pouffy dress: think oversized suits, satin co-ords and romantic ruffled shoulder details. Do we take thee?

Heck yeah we do.

Dad sandals get their chicest makeover to date thanks to a collab between Teva and Chloé.

Pairing Chloé’s chic stylings on Teva’s practical and heartwearing sandals finally solves summer office dressing woes. Available in cream or pink with Chloé branded ribbon strapping and blissfully thick soles, they’ll stand up to an entire season of swanning around town - and beyond.

Stine Goya launches cinematic PF23

Stine Goya has looked to award-winning director Pedro Almodovar for inspiration for its pre-fall collection this year, with a selection of looks that could be plucked straight from a blockbuster production’s costume department.

Featuring colour-block dresses and separates with ‘kitsch-futurism’ embellishments (think diamante and beading), it’s all about unapologetic main character dressing.
