ICYMI, our queen and popstar princess Kylie Minogue is currently performing a sold-out show in New York City’s Madison Square Garden, and to celebrate the Empire State Building shone in green and gold lights in her honour. Good for her!!
Minogue, as part of her worldwide Tension World Tour, made her Madison Square Garden debut on April 5 and 6 in two sold-out shows.
To celebrate the 56-year-old singer’s NYC performances, the Empire State Building was decked out in iconic Aussie colours: green and gold.

The stunt was made in partnership with the Consul-General of Australia and Great Barrier Reef Foundation, according to an Instagram post for the building.
“Tonight, we’re shining in green and gold to celebrate Kylie Minogue’s sold out MSG shows,” the post read.
The post also included an absolutely incredible remix of Minogue’s 1987 debut single, “The Loco-Motion”. I need a Spotify release ASAP please.

Minogue commented on the post, writing: “THANK YOU!!!!! 😘😘😘”.
A video posted by a Minogue fan account also showed the star pulling a lever that lit up a miniature version of the building with the new colours.
“Two nights at MSG is just mind-blowing, but to be lighting up the Empire State Building in green and gold — thank you so much,” Minogue said, per Rolling Stone.
“I feel like everyone is shining in their own way, and I love seeing everyone be the best version of themselves.
“Thank you for adding some sparkle to my day, and I can’t wait to see the glorious building lit up.”
Despite the world seemingly getting scarier and more hateful, one fact remains: Kylie Minogue will always stand out as a shining beacon of hope, blessing us with banger after banger.
Remember, they can never take iconic dance-pop classics away from us!!
