Edinburgh's culinary scene is one of the most exciting and varied in the UK, with people regularly visiting from all over the country to try our wonderful restaurants.
And it seems it's not just the traditional restaurants, cafés and bistros that are making a good impression, one pub in the Old Town appears to be making waves on Tripadvisor with a slew of five-star reviews for its food offering.
Located close to Edinburgh University, Doctors, which takes its name from its links to the old Royal Infirmary, is sitting in fifth place in the review site's best restaurant list beating out some of the capital's more famous restaurants.

Sitting alongside the usual Edinburgh pub offering of cold beers, tasty real ales and of course, plenty of great whiskies, Doctors does a roaring trade in great food.
Reviewers have lauded it as an "authentic pub with an interesting history" and hailed its fish and chips as the "best in town".
Others loved the atmosphere, friendly staff and speedy service, with more gushing about the comfort food that includes dishes like breaded Whitby scampi and steak and ale pie.
With 1,240 reviews – 1,000 of which are rated 'very good' and 'excellent' – it seems most have been left very impressed by what's on offer.
One pleased fan, who gave it an excellent rating, wrote: "Superb barman/manager and incredible haggis pie and fish and chips for lunch. Great way to top off a morning of sightseeing in the beautiful city of Edinburgh!"
While another added: "Absolutely fantastic!! I am a regular here and I’ve never had a bad experience! The fish and chips is absolutely amazing, good selection of alcohol, wonderful staff! I have and will come here again!"
The fish and chips appear to be the stand-out dish when it comes to food, with the fresh slices of haddock cooked in a golden batter served alongside their popular thick-cut chips getting a regular mention in the reviews.
"I had the fish and chips. Portion was very generous," gushed one fan. "The fish was cooked to perfection with a crisp light batter."
Others described it as the "best fish and chips" they'd ever had.
