WINSTON Starmer, cries the latest cover of The Economist.
It is a front page that Boris Johnson in his prime would have killed for.
But here he is, Sir Keir, made up as Sir Winston. And it is nauseating.
The Prime Minister has gained several pounds and is chomping on a cigar to fill him out as the Tory idol.
What exactly the message is meant to be is unclear. The subtitle of the issue is little help: “Can he pull it off?”
Crisis has revealed a different side to Sir Keir Starmer. But he must be upfront with Britons about how the extra money for defence will be found https://t.co/SBYP1YAgSt Image: Barry Falls pic.twitter.com/Hue5dlPoBt

Well, if you mean the look, then it’s a categorical no.
Is it to mean that the arch-enemy of the welfare state – Churchill once famously claimed it would take a Gestapo to enforce the NHS, whatever that meant – is like Starmer?
The Labour Prime Minister is taking the axe to disability benefits? So, perhaps.
Is it that Starmer will lead us through a world war that will leave as many as 80 million dead worldwide?
Hopefully not.
