The Eagles’ Dallas Goedert offered details behind his fiery sideline exchange with Jalen Hurts

After a 10-1 start to the season, the Philadelphia Eagles are going to look back in disappointment at how they faded late in the year. And Monday night’s NFC wild-card loss to the Buccaneers was especially ugly for last season’s NFC champs.

Frustrations even appeared to be boiling over on the sidelines for everyone to see.

With the Eagles struggling, cameras captured tight end Dallas Goedert apparently shouting something in Jalen Hurts’ direction with the Eagles quarterback not saying a word back. Marcus Mariota had to jump in and calm Goedert down at one point.

Goedert was asked about the incident after the game. And according to the Eagles tight end, the frustration wasn’t about Hurts. Goedert told reporters that he was upset with himself for messing up on a play.

He said that the scene wasn’t about Jalen at all and reiterated that the two players have a great relationship.

Still, it’s going to be a tough image to take into the offseason. Nothing went right for the Eagles on Monday.
