A scenic drive in the Peak District has been named one of the best in the UK. Snake Pass (A57) which runs through the national park was ranked the third best route in the UK by National Geographic’s Car SOS.
With its dramatic twists and turns it’s easy to see why the 26-mile long stretch of road made it so high on the list. It takes in the stunning scenery of the Peak District and offers drivers a thrilling and challenging route from Glossop to Sheffield.
Snake Pass beat another Peak District route, the Cat and Fiddle (A53 then A54 followed by the A537) which was ranked in ninth place. The iconic North Coast 500 in Scotland came in at number one.
