Grammy-winning songwriter and producer, The-Dream, is facing a lawsuit accusing him of sexual assault and abuse. The producer, known legally as Terius Gesteelde-Diamant, has been a prominent figure in the music industry, having worked on hits for artists like Beyoncé, Justin Bieber, and Rihanna.

The lawsuit, filed by singer Chanaaz Mangroe, alleges that Gesteelde-Diamant engaged in abusive and manipulative behavior, including physical assaults and violent sexual encounters. His lawyers are now seeking the dismissal of the lawsuit, claiming that the allegations are false and defamatory.

In their motion filed in a Los Angeles federal court, Gesteelde-Diamant's legal team argues that the lawsuit lacks specific factual allegations and is a 'shotgun pleading' that should be grounds for dismissal. They are also seeking to strike certain portions of the complaint and have his company, Contra Paris, LLC, dismissed from the case.

Mangroe's lawyers have responded, stating that the arguments made in the motion to dismiss are unpersuasive and expressing their intention to proceed with the case. If the lawsuit is not dismissed, the legal battle is expected to continue in court.

It is important to note that The Associated Press typically does not disclose the identities of individuals who claim to have been sexually abused unless they have chosen to come forward publicly, as Mangroe has done.
