Well, didn’t Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 get off to a dramatic start? Ghosters, theatrical sisters and tradwives, oh my!!!! While there were many things about the season premiere that got tongues wagging, one of the biggest talking points was about Tamara, the sister of bride Lauren Hall, who caused a stir with her outrageous behaviour during her sister’s wedding.
In case you missed it, Tamara was the maid of honour at her sister’s wedding to groom Eliot Donovan. While Lauren was demure and tradwife-esque, Tamara was the complete inverse.
From the very first interaction, it was clear that she was incredibly fun-loving and outgoing. However, it was also apparent that Lauren and Tamara didn’t always have the smoothest relationship.
While Lauren and the bridesmaids were getting ready, Tamara described her sister as a “bridezilla”.
By the ceremony, the siblings were well and truly feuding, with Tamara describing Lauren as a “psycho” and “fucking bitch” moments before she was due to walk down the aisle.
At the reception, she referred to the whole day as an “abortion”.
Taking to Instagram, Tamara has spoken out about how she has been portrayed on the episode.
“I know how it looks — I watched the same episode as everyone else, and without context, I totally get it,” she wrote in an Instagram Story.
“But there’s over 18 hours of footage you didn’t see. I’ll be sharing a tell-all soon, so stay tuned! Just a little reminder — this is a reality TV show, heavily edited to get the highest ratings, and I earned the villain badge by refusing to conform.
“It’s not real life guys, so don’t take it too personally! It’s out of my control, so I’m fully embracing it — the good, the bad and the ugly!”
While it’s probably healthy she’s embracing the so-called villain edit, according to MAFS executive producer John Walsh, the big dogs are simply following the story as it happens.
“We decided very early on, right from the beginning, that we were just going to follow the story,” John told PEDESTRIAN.TV.
“Whether that’s disappointing or shocking, that’s what we do.”
