A huge fire has left a Welsh hillside blackened and severely damaged in the Valleys.
The fire covered the side of a mountain in Rhigos in Rhondda Cynon Taf on Monday, March 7.
Two fire engines were called to the scene opposite Cefn Rhigos in the northern Cynon Valley which started at 7pm.
When the incident was ongoing residents shared breathtaking images of the fire on the mountainside throughout the evening, but by Tuesday morning the area was left in a sorry state.

Pictures taken on Tuesday morning show that areas of the mountain remain black, scorched and looking rather depressing.
It's not the picturesque view of Valleys hillside we usually look so forward to seeing.
Garan Rhys Thomas said: "I've been here all my life and this is by far the worst I have ever seen. It's not very common in this area. It has happened before but only in the summer months."
Following the fire, South Wales Fire and Rescue Service said: "At approximately 7.04pm on Monday, March 7 we received reports of a grassfire towards Sgwd Yr Eira near the Rhigos Industrial Estate.
"Multiple crews attended the scene and were faced with a well-developed fire which had affected grassland.
"Firefighters used specialist equipment to bring the fire under control. A stop message was received at 10.16pm."
The size of the area affected has not yet been confirmed by the fire service.
