Smeg retro style kettle: Was £149.99, now £134.95, Debenhams.com

The miniature version of this stunning retro kettle made its way into our review of the best kettles. Praised by home appliance expert Tamara for its speedy boil and adorable design, this bigger version has even more room for extra cups of tea. “Smeg is the gold standard when it comes to retro kitchen gadgets, and this powerful kettle is a reminder that there’s substance – as well as style – to its designs,” she wrote.

Grass & Air kids’ colour-changing wellies: Was £25, now £20, Debenhams.com

(Grass & Air)

Get little ones geared up for the winter weather – these fun wellies have 20 per cent off at Debenhams. When IndyBest reviewer Zoe put these boots to the test (with a little help from her kids), she said: “These clever wellies feature a raindrops design that changes from white to rainbow hues when wet.” On a practical level, Zoe added: “They’re very well made, meaning you’ll get some hand-me-down milage out of them, too.” There are several colourways to choose from and all come complete with a cosy fleece lining. Anything to make rainy days a bit brighter, right?

Mountain Warehouse swerve women’s waterproof jacket: Was £59.99, now £29.99, Debenhams.com

(Mountain Warehouse)

Named the best budget waterproof jackets for women in our review, this Mountain Warehouse number is now even more purse-friendly, thanks to this discount at Debenhams. “The ripstop fabric and taped seams make it functional, while the slim fit makes it a stylish choice,” said fitness writer Clare O’Reilly in her review. “It also packs away into its own carry case, so it’s a great option to take with you when you’re out and about.” Currently, there are limited sizes available across three colourways, so, snap up the offer while the jacket is still in stock.

Debenhams Christmas beauty selection box edit (worth £251): Was £50, now £32.50, Debenhams.com

(Debenhams)

Brimming with a selection of haircare, fragrance, skincare, and make-up products, the Debenhams Christmas beauty selection box edit is a Cyber Monday steal. It’s said to be worth a whopping £251, and while it will usually set you back £50, you can get it with a 25 per cent discount this Cyber Monday, when you use the code “CYBER” at checkout. As for the products inside, they range from the Benefit fan fest mascara to Philip Kingsley’s elasticizer, Murad’s AHA/BHA exfoliating cleanser, Urban Decay’s all nighter setting spray and Ghost’s deep night eau de toilette. Silentnight Yours&Mine dual control electric blanket: Was £73.99, now £44.99, Debenhams.com

(Amazon)

It’s cosy season, so there’s surely been no better time to invest in a new electric blanket. Bedding expert Zoe named this one from Silentnight the best budget dual-control electric blanket in her review. An affordable pick that just got even better thanks to a 39 per cent discount from Debenhams. “We were amazed by the value of this dual-control blanket, which lets you and your partner adjust the temperature on your respective sides of the bed, warming each individually, to create your own microclimate in bed,” Zoe wrote.

YSL rouge volupte candy glaze: Was £36, now £25.20, Debenhams.co.uk

(The Independent)

Cyber Monday is looking strong over at Debenhams this year, with 30 per cent off a wide range of designer beauty brands, including YSL. Great news for lipstick-lovers looking for a new favourite. IndyBest writer Ella highly recommended this high-shine lippy in her review of the best lip glosses, saying: “It has the strongest pigment out of all the glosses tested, and applies perfectly in two swipes. It leaves you with an elegant, shiny wet sheen and still feels like lipstick on your lips, with no sticky texture.”

Yves Saint Laurent black opium eau de parfum: Was £67, now £46.90, Debenhams.com

(Look Fantastic)

Top notes of pear accord and mandarin essence give an initial florally, sweet scent, although this doesn’t last long. Underneath you’ll get warming black coffee and cedarwood, giving the fragrance a dark twist. And it lasts an incredibly long time on the skin, too.

Clarins BB skin detox fluid: Was £36, now £25.20, Debenhams.com

(Clarins)

Calling all Clarins fans; you can get up to 30 per cent off the Clarins range in the Debenhams Black Friday sale. In our review of the best BB creams, its BB skin detox fluid was hailed by beauty writer Lauren as the best for a matte finish, and it’s “packed with potent skincare ingredients”. She said it was best for those who prefer fuller coverage, and noted how it “gently hides redness and covers slight blemishes and dark spots”.

Beauty Works jumbo waver: Was £70, now £49, Debenhams.com

(Beauty Works)

Loved by the likes of Molly-Mae Hague, Beauty Works’ jumbo waver is perfect for beachy, tousled locks. Testing it in its regular size for IndyBest’s guide to the best hair wavers, styling pro Sarah was “really impressed at how it created an even and consistent look all over the head.” She dubbed it the best device for volume and so, naturally, I can’t imagine how bouncy and full the waves from this – its jumbo iteration – would turn out. With 30 per cent off, it’s the perfect time to find out.

Made by Mitchell blursh liquid blusher: Was £14, now £9.80 Debenhams.com

(Made by Mitchell)

There’s 20 per cent off this TikTok viral sensation blush in the Debenhams Black Friday sale. Our tester and beauty writer Vanese rated it in her Made by Mitchell review, saying that “the liquid blush was easy to apply subtly to the cheeks, and could be built up for a standout flush of colour.”

Yves Saint Laurent libre eau de parfum 30ml: Was £69, now £48.30, Debenhams.com

(Lookfantastic)

Debenhams is offering a 30 per cent discount on one of Yves Saint Laurent’s most popular fragrances for Black Friday. A floral perfume with notes of tangerine, neroli and lavender, the most petite 30ml bottle starts at £48.30.

Marc Jacobs Daisy eay de toillette 30ml: Was £50, now £35, Debenhams.com

(Marc Jacobs/The Independent)

Beauty expert Lauren featured Marc Jacobs Daisy in our review of the best perfumes in 2024, where our expert tester said it “offered a sweet floral scent, combining white violet and jasmine for a flowery fragrance, berries for sweetness and sandalwood to make it seem deeper and warmer.”

Where’s That From comfort slip on slippers: Was £99.99, now £29.99, Debenhams.com

(Where’s That From)

Save a massive 70 per cent (and avoid turning the heating on for a little longer) with this deal on comfort slippers courtesy of Where’s That From. Estée Lauder double wear stay in place foundation: Was £39.50, now £27.65, Debenhams.com

(Estée Lauder/The Independent)

As featured in our review of the best foundations for acne-prone skin, Estée Lauder’s popular foundation now has 30 per cent off. Our tester and makeup expert Louise reported that her “skin looked smooth and spot-free for hours and the oil-free, matte formula kept our usual shiny T-zone at bay.”

Jaxjox adjustable dumbbells: Was £300, now £149.99, Debenhams.com

Jaxjox adjustable dumbbells (Jaxjox / Debenhams)

I’ve owned these dumbbells for three years, and they’ve proved a handy addition to my home workout arsenal. When you place them in their docking stations, you can attach or remove weight plates from the central handles with the touch of a button, choosing from eight different weight options between 3.6kg and 22.7kg on each dumbbell – ideal for strength training at home. The dumbbells used to link to an app for follow-along workouts and autonomous rep-counting, but the app has since shuttered. However, I always found it a bit of an unnecessary add-on, and its demise means the premium dumbbells have plummeted in price.

SportNow dumbbells weight set 10kg pair: Was £67.99, £44.99, Debenhams.com

SportNow dumbbells weight set 10kg pair (Debenhams / SportNow)

The adjustable dumbbells above are fantastic for strength training sans-gym. However, if you’re partial to a HIIT session and the dynamic dumbbell exercises that usually come with it, you’ll want to buy a more robust free weight. These 12-sided dumbbells fill that role nicely, with lightly knurled (or textured) metal handles for improved grip and rubber-coated heads, increasing the longevity of both the dumbbells and your floor. At £44.99 for a pair of 10kg weights in the Black Friday sale, they’re a cheap entry point for home workouts too.

The Christmas gifts I’m buying from Debenhams

We all know Black Friday is perfectly timed for some early Christmas shopping, so here are some of my top picks for the best Christmas gifts currently available in the sale.

Yankee Candle signature WOW gift set: Was £50, now £24.50, Debenhams.com

(Debenhams)

The Debenhams Black Friday sale is full of Christmas treats this year, and nothing gets me in the festive spirit more than some scented candles. Yankee Candles do it best and this gift set includes three wax melts, three mini candles and one large jar candle, all in a range of festive fragrances perfect for getting you in a jolly mood. The price alone fills me with cheer, as the set is currently 50 per cent off.

Clarins lip duo stocking filler: Was £15, now £10.50, Debenhams.com

(Debenhams)

Beauty gift sets are a great way to say Merry Christmas to the ones you love, encouraging them to enjoy some much-needed TLC. Clarins via Debenhams has some great deals on a whole range of beauty and skincare sets, but I couldn't resist mentioning these adorable cracker-shaped sets. This one includes a natural lip perfector and the lip comfort oil in ‘cherry’. Currently at 25 per cent off, I think this would make the perfect stocking filler.

Threadbare ‘Elkwoods’ quarter zip Christmas knitted jumper: Was £44, now £23.76, Debenhams.com

(Threadbare)

Debenhams currently has up to 60 per cent off a range of knitwear in their Black Friday sale, so I know where I’m going to find the family’s Christmas jumpers this year. This men’s quarter zip sweater proves that a festive jumper doesn’t have to be cheesy, or expensive. I love the cool modern twist on a classic reindeer design and that 46 per cent discount doesn’t hurt either

Marc Jacobs Daisy so Fresh eau de toilette 75ml gift set: Was £79, now £55.30, Debenhams.com

(Debenhams)

Now, this is a set I’d be more than happy to see under my tree this Christmas. Packed with Marc Jacobs’s signature floral scents, this set includes body gel, moisturiser and, of course, the perfume itself. The scent is inspired by the original Daisy fragrance, with notes of grapefruit, raspberry, green leaves, and pear – it’s sure to smell good enough to eat. When our beauty writer Lucy checked it out in her Daisy perfumes review, she wrote: “It feels youthful and is the sort of sweet burst you might want to accompany you to a party.”

When will the Debenhams deals end?

Cyber Monday is the final day of the Black Friday weekend festivities, so it’s your last chance to get your hands on those pieces you’ve been searching for. Luckily, I can confirm that Debenhams will be taking part in Cyber Monday this year, as well as their current Black Friday deals, so expect big savings across brands like Smeg, YSL, Karen Millen, Dyson and more.
