Ange Postecoglou would not stand in the way of Daizen Maeda leaving Celtic if an offer came in from the English Premier League.
That is the view of Parkhead hero Frank McAvennie who believes that if interest from the likes of Southampton materialises for the Japanese attacker, Postecoglou won't block a potential exit. The highly-energetic winger has been on form this season for the Hoops after sealing a move last January from the Australian's old outfit Yokahama F. Marinos.
Maeda netted his first Old Firm goal this month before sealing a crucial strike in the Viaplay Cup and has reported interested coming from down south with Nathan Jones' side said to be scouting the 25-year-old among other Scottish talent. And McAvennie isn't surprised the pacey star is garnering interest.

He told Football Insider: “I think it is great that Premier League clubs are showing an interest in him.
“He is missing some chances but you can’t argue with his talent. You can’t argue with his enthusiasm or his movement and work rate for the team. That all blends well for the Premier League because that is what they do.
"He works his socks off but he misses too many chances and then he scores absolute blinders. Southampton like players like that.
"I would not be surprised and there is no way Ange will stand in his way if it is the Premier League. I do not think there will be a problem but I do not think Ange will want to sell anyone but if the price is right then he is away.”
