It doesn’t need to be said, but we’re saying it anyway: It’s a rough time to be a Chicago Bears fan. Like, really rough, between the Justin Fields injury and the struggles of the team up and down the lineup.
So, here: Something to be happy about.
The Bears currently own the Carolina Panthers’ 2024 first-round pick thanks to the giant NFL Draft trade last year that allowed the latter to take Bryce Young first overall.
And wouldn’t you know it? Through six weeks, the current draft order has the Panthers’ pick that’s now the Bears’ at the top … and Chicago right below that choice with the No. 2 selection. That’s right, we could see a Bears-Bears set of picks come next April!
If the season ended today (it doesn’t), the Bears would have the top TWO picks.
1. Chicago
2. Chicago
3. Arizona
4. Denver
5. NYGhttps://t.co/WTUxLkMvam— Andrew Siciliano (@AndrewSiciliano) October 17, 2023
That’s something!
