The Cure's Live Album 'Paris' Reaches New High On Charts

The Cure, the iconic alternative rock and new wave band, continues to captivate fans with their timeless music. Despite not releasing new original material in over a decade, the group's live recording, 'Paris,' has made a resurgence on the music charts.

Recently re-released to commemorate its thirtieth anniversary, 'Paris' has climbed to No. 45 on the Top Album Sales chart in the U.S. The album saw a significant increase in sales, with 2,282 copies sold in the past tracking period, marking a nearly 460% rise from the previous week.

The remastered edition of 'Paris,' overseen by frontman Robert Smith and bandmate Miles Showell, features two previously unreleased tracks, 'Shake Dog Shake' and 'Hot Hot Hot!!!' Longtime fans will also appreciate the reworked tracklist, adding a fresh perspective to the beloved live album.

While 'Paris' currently only appears on the Top Album Sales chart, it had previously debuted and peaked at No. 118 on the Billboard 200 in 1993. The album's resurgence reflects the enduring popularity of The Cure's music, resonating with both loyal followers and new listeners alike.

In a week that saw 19 new entries on the Top Album Sales chart, 'Paris' stands out as a classic favorite among a diverse range of musical releases. The band's enduring influence is evident as they continue to hold a special place in the hearts of music enthusiasts worldwide.
