The crucial goal-line technology frame that proves Rangers goal vs Fenerbahce

Goal-line technology was required to award Rangers an opener against Fenerbahce in Istanbul.

Cyriel Dessers put the Ibrox side ahead with six minutes on the clock in the Europa League contest.

The striker latched onto the ball in the box, rounded the goalkeeper and then passed into the net.

Fenerbahce defended Caglar Soyuncu slid onto the line in a desperate attempt to clear the ball and, to the naked eye, appeared to deny Dessers a goal.

However, referee Alejandro Hernandez quickly awarded the goal as he pointed to his watch to signal that goal-line technology confirmed the decision.

Footage on TNT Sports then showed the crucial frame proving the ball was over the line.
