The Crown star Josh O'Connor was seen for the first time with his girlfriend, Saltburn actress Alison Oliver, as they enjoyed a walk around New York City on Monday.

In photos obtained by MailOnline, the 34-year-old Challengers actor and the Irish star, 27, kept things casual, both wearing blue jeans while O’Connor, who portrayed Prince Charles in the Netflix series, looked laid-back in a vintage green Coca-Cola jacket over a white T-shirt for the outing.

Rumours of their romance began swirling earlier in November when the pair were seen together in Italy.

The BAFTA actor and Oliver were spotted walking hand-in-hand through Bologna, and fans recognised the couple at a film and photography library, where they posed for selfies, as seen in photos obtained by The Sun.

A source told the outlet: “Josh and Alison have a lot in common and have enjoyed getting to know each other away from the spotlight.

“Despite their huge roles, they prefer hanging out in libraries rather than big glamorous events.”

The Standard has contacted both Josh O’Connor and Alison Oliver's representatives for comment.

O'Connor is private about his personal life, but in 2021, he was romantically linked to marketing director Margot Hauer-King while Oliver, on the other hand, was previously in a relationship with Normal People star Éanna Hardwicke.

Cork-native star Oliver has had much success after first appearing on screens, playing Francis in the TV adaptation of Sally Rooney’s novel, Conversations with Friends.

She has also appeared in the BBC One drama miniseries Best Interests, alongside Sharon Horgan and Michael Sheen.

The TV star made her London stage debut in Women, Beware the Devil at the Almeida Theatre in February 2023, and then starred in Dancing at Lughnasa at the National Theatre in April 2023.

She is set to collaborate with her Saltburn director, Emerald Fennell, and co-star Jacob Elordi again on a Wuthering Heights adaptation for Warner Bros, MRC, and LuckyChap.

Elsewhere, O’Connor is set to join Daniel Craig and Andrew Scott in the third installment of the Knives Out series, Wake Up Dead Man.

In May, Variety reported at the time that the Irish actor, 47, famed for his roles as The Hot Priest in Phoebe Waller-Bridge's Fleabag and James Moriarty in BBC's Sherlock, would star in Rian Johnson's popular film franchise.

He joins Cailee Spaeny, who portrayed Elvis Presley's ex-wife Priscilla in the 2023 Sofia Coppola biopic of the same name.

Also returning is fan favorite Craig, 56, who has portrayed Detective Benoit Blanc in all Knives Out films. Wake Up Dead Man precedes 2019's Knives Out and 2022's Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.

Johnson has both penned and directed the first two movies in the series, the first of which grossed $165.3million domestically and $312.8million worldwide, surpassing its $40million budget.

Critics praised the film earning Johnson an Oscar nomination for Best Original Screenplay. Lionsgate had originally planned a sequel, but Netflix secured the rights to two sequels for a staggering $469million.

The sequel had a one-week stint in cinemas, debuting with $9.4million and concluding with $13.2million before transitioning to Netflix. It’s unknown whether this sequel will have a small theatrical release like Glass Onion.
